BEST has been contracted as the implementing partner of ANBP-UNDP to carry out Vocational Training and Job Placement services to Ex-Combatants who are disarmed and demobilized in the Eastern Region (Nangarhar, Kunar, Laghman and Nuristan provinces) of Afghanistan.

The Disarmament Demobilization and Reintegration (DDR) process has been initiated in Afghanistan by ANBP-UNDP with the financial support of donor countries having the objective to bring political stability and create conducive environment for restoration of peace, stability and reemerging/flourishing dominance of peaceful/tolerant civil society.

Through provision of vocational training and job placement support, BEST equipped the target XCs with basic technical skills and competencies and enabled them to start economic activities and secure their livelihood in a decent manner.
